Like most young kids, Gail Hewitt never could eat the big pile of broccoli on her dinner plate – but magically found just enough space for a big bowl of ice cream smothered in chocolate sauce for dessert. After all, her mother told Gail and her 4 siblings: ‘Your dessert room is an entirely separate room in the house!’
Today, Gail and her husband, Mitch, run King Kone with this same mantra: Everyone has a little room for ice cream! Both born and raised in Chardon, the Hewitts love living in and investing in the local community, and believe that ice cream should be a delicious family affair. In fact, you can find their 4 kids helping with the business: Caleb overseeing "quality control" or so he thinks, Briella providing service with a smile, Colton jumping off the rocks with a cone in hand, and Jericho just hunting down someone who will give him a taste!
So finish that broccoli (Gail does make her kids eat some vegetables now), pack up the whole family and come down to King Kone for a sweet treat and even sweeter memories!
